Embargo
Hello Keymailers, streamers, and content creators! Please follow our requested embargo:
Please do not play the "Harolds" or Final Boss fights publicly until the game's release on April 9th.
All else is fair game. It's a pretty soft embargo too. It's totally fine if their character select entries or lore rewards get shown in passing, for example. Feel free to talk about them, spoiler-free if you can. We're just trying to keep some surprise for players. If your content is published after April 9th, there are no limitations.
Changelog
Version 0.5.0
- RELEASE BUILD: Good Enough for Government Work. This is the build launching on mobile and Steam Early Access April 9th.
- This build will reset your save game data, in preparation for launch.
- Not in this build: "P2: Secret Agent" difficulty mode will be added post-launch, as well as the true ending of the game.
- Included the latest translation work by our volunteer translators. Thank you, Tydes, stick, and FNL!
- Added: Promotional code input field to Settings.
- Added: This build includes a paywall on mobile platforms. Still no ads, still no gotchas. Free users can play the first three fights (like the Steam demo). Purchase the whole game through IAP.
- Changed the Final Boss's unlock dialog to keep it a little bit of a mystery until you start the fight.
- Fixed an infinite money glitch when buying items through the Wardrobe.
- Fixed an issue where buying level 0 of an item would unlock other levels of the item.
- Improved scene scaling on tablets and non-16x9 displays.
- Fixed controller being unable to select the language dropdown selector.
- Fixed a reinitialization issue with the Harolds' health bars.
- Fixed several bugs with The Harolds, specifically around characters idling unnecessarily.
- Fixed an issue with closing the Player Details dialog.
- Improved clarity in Wardrobe over what's owned and what's not owned.
- Fixed issues where some characters were invulnerable to haymakers when they should have been vulberable.
- Fixed the visual feedback on the player's Power Meter in conditions where you may throw the haymaker below 100% Power.
- The Final Boss's scream attack is now properly set as undodgeable.
- Fixed an issue where the punching bag tutorial could be chosen as a Personal Daily Mission.
- Fixed an issue where opponents could get stuck thinking that the player was still winded when they were knocked down while winded.
- Fixed the "dodge to the other side!" tutorial so that it doesn't pester you all the way through Prestige 1.
Version 0.4.0
- Initial version intended for media, youtubers, streamers, game journalists (both real and imagined), and our personal FBI attachments.
- Added Prestige 1 fight variants (Agent difficulty)
- Removed the ability to play the unfinished Prestige 2 fights.
- Fixed an oversight that listed Karen's height and weight as Giga-Chad's. She's still angry about it though.
- Improved the writing of Renegade's early game tips, and he responds in better ways after soft tutorials are completed.
- Multiple fixes to all opponent fight logic focusing on softlocks, vulnerability consistency, and annoyances.
- Rebalanced opponents, particularly Cat Lady, to make the difficulty ramp a lot smoother.
- Opponents now use mirrored attacks in more places.
- Improved vulnerability frames on all opponents. In particular, Karen is way more consistent with when you can and cannot reach her with your punches.
- Added localizations for Brazilian, Spanish, and French.
- Partial fix for Left Analog Stick not working with classic controls. It won't work by default, but you can now remap the classic controls using the analog stick. For everyone else, we still recommend using the d-pad.
- Improved the Wardrobe and Missions menu scenes. Still need some polish, but they work.
- Added "Agent B" female player skin.
- Fixed known instances of the Fight Outcome dialog persisting into News Scene. (sorry about that, leaflit)
- Fixed known instances of Rest Scene character dialog not being displayed.
- Fixed known instances of Steam Achievements being awarded out of sequence.
- Fixed several character progression bugs, particularly around levels and stat changes. Yes, including the hilarious bug where you could amass hundreds of knockdown pips and infinite health. (looking at you, stick)
- Fixed known instances where restarting a fight did not fully reset the fight logic.
- Changed the Time Trials to use a set RNG seed, making them consistent across runs.
- Fixed known instances of looped sound effect persisting after matches.
- Added a Jab Bush-related accessory. If you can find it.
- Improved text kerning in Rest Scene. Youtubers now have fewer excuses to be bad at reading good.
- KO cutscenes now play as a reward for TKO and Instant KO.
Version 0.3.0
- Initial Playtest Version
- Game is playable through Prestige 0 (Rookie difficulty).
